Discount unnecessarily made life difficult for me

I wanted to get a cargo van from Clyde on a Saturday am and return it the same day. I was informed that I would have to pay for 2 days since the Clyde location closed at noon and didn't reopen until Monday. This seemed stupid since I only wanted it for a few hours. So, to avoid paying 2 days I booked the van for Bank St. since they would be open Sunday and I could return it then. However when I got to Bank St. they didn't have a van ready as promised and sent me to Clyde where I both picked up a van and returned it same day after closing but getting charged for just one day. Going out to Bank St. was very inconvenient for me and a totally unnecessary waste of time for no reason and has left me very frustrated with Discount. Employees were nice but original management decision at Clyde to make me pay for 2 days only caused me grief and to look for alternatives and resulted in no additional revenue for Discount.

Wrong Responsibility of an accident

I returned the vehicle using the dropbox and, 2 days later, I have been told that the vehicle has been damaged by my fault, which is not the case....

Zero transparency.

I felt the whole process was not transparent at all, especially for first-time renters. I can't see first timers coming back to rent from here with all these hidden fees and charges; eg. Getting charged for the gas you use was not communicated to me and the Customer service person refused to admit she messed up.

Great people. Drop off location didn’t exist. Console and bay were not clean.

The people at Clyde street were lovely. But the drop off location In charlottetown didn’t exist so I couldn’t drop the car off on a Sunday morning to save a day’s charges. Also the console in the cab hadn’t been cleaned and was pretty gross. As well there were lots of bag clips and dust in the back of the truck as well. I rented a cargo van and was informed the smallest available is a 16 foot truck. I accepted because I thought it had the GMC van front on it according to your site. It was a Ford 550 instead and guzzled way more gas than I budgeted. Overall the service I had was great but the information was incorrect and the vehicle not clean.

the vehicle are provided by the insurance company and I haven't have any interaction with discount rental yet.

the vehicle smell of cigarettes! we are very sensitive to the smell! however, we collect the vehicle from the insurance company parking lot and have no interaction the discount rental yet.I cannot comment on the customer service beside the vehicle.
