Bad experience with that location.

My rented truck broke in middle of my job I waited until 10 pm for mechanic to come and fixed it.Did not get any composition plus location charge on my card for extra day .i had to pay extra for two employees for overtime and extra day. To complete the job In extremely cold day.

Stressful situation and poor service

Was recommended the Discount rental by my insurance company who was covering my car rental as my car met with a collision We were already stressed as a result of the collision when we came to the discount rental facility at Erin mills and battle ford location We were given the Volkswagen Golf wagoncar which was bigger than what we wanted and requested but were told it was the only small size car they had - we took it and used it sparingly for 1.5 days and I did the right thing and brought it back to them as I had a tire air pressure issue and wanted to exchange with a smaller car- they checked and it was a nail in the tire and made me pay for a new tire - the service desk guy told me he would call me and let me know charges which he never did Leaving me stressed further They then Exchanged the car for a Volkswagen Jetta( which was now miraculously available in inventory as opposed to earlier when we had requested)- and I also felt that they took advantage of the stressful situation and our helplessness and we were told to add on daily $11.99 further insurance charge to cover situations like the one mentioned above which we felt we had no choice but to accept Have had the Jetta for a couple weeks and will need it for a couple more so I’m hoping that the management can come up with some sort of a solution for the stressful situation above and redeem themselves and change a negative experience into a positive one Look forward to hearing from the management team with a solution

Lack of empathy and poor service

Was recommended the Discount rental by my insurance company who was covering my car rental as my car met with a collision We first got the Volkswagen Golf wagoncar which was bigger than what we wanted and requested but were told it was the only small size car they had - we took it and used it sparingly for 1.5 days and I did the right thing and brought it back to them as I had a tire air pressure issue and wanted to exchange with a smaller car- they checked and it was a nail in the tire and I was responsible for it and will have to pay for a new tire - the service desk guy told me he would call me and let me know charges for the tire which he never did I then exchanged the car for a Volkswagen Jetta which they conveniently had at that point( but not when we had asked initially) and ended up taking an additional insurance coverage of 11.99$ a day as they mentioned that this would be the only way to avoid any charges and damages I’ve had the rental for 2 weeks and will probably need it for another 2 weeks and this daily charge of $11.99 adds up and I feel like I was forced into taking this Hoping you can come up with some resolution for this entire unpleasant exchange

Manager was rude and unhelpful

The manager of the location could not hold a conversation without thinking it was an argument. While explaining some of the specific policies, she did not have the patience to explain them in detail when I was confused about a couple things and kept inclining that I am arguing while I was only trying to ensure I understood the policies and their intricacies. Eventually she did seem to answer my specific question. She could have just communicated the exact same answer in a more polite manner the first time only. I find it highly disrespectful for her to even suggest that I am "arguing". Needs further training before she should be allowed on the floor.

Poor customer service

We reserved a truck at the Dundas St location but when we arrived we were informed that the truck which had been reserved for us had mechanical issues and could not be driven. This was the first notice we received of these issues and thus had no time to alter our arrangements. We were sent to the Battleford Road location to pick up our truck there. We were told upon arrival there that the truck had to be returned to this location or else a $150 charge would be applied. No flexibility in this was given despite the fact that again we were not aware of the change until the morning of pick up. This change in drop off location did have an impact on our operations but given the late notice of this change we did not have time to find another truck elsewhere. As well, in the truck that was ultimately rented there was a loud beep that went off anytime the truck went over a bump or small hole with no apparent way to turn it off.
