Awful experience with recalls
Birchwood BMW charged me $804 for something that was under recall. After calling multiple times throughout the day after dropping my car off wondering if it will be done today so I can manage my schedule I just kept getting redirected by the front desk to the service department and the service department would just go to voicemail and I left 3 messages to call me back and when I did get a call back I couldn't answer it and they didn't even leave me a voicemail very very disorganized I would say. They replaced Blow by heater recall and VEH has blower regulator wiring harness recall. The invoice states “No Heat. Found Blower Motor Connecting point burnt.” So for some reason they replaced the blower motor and 2 of those recalls had nothing to do with it and charged me for it even though the official BMW recall website (https://bmw.oemdtc.com/163/safety-recall-17v-676-blower-motor-wiring-2006-2011-bmw-3-series) states “Wiring that overheats could cause the electrical connecters to melt and increase risk of fire.” And when I took it to my normal shop to get this diagnosed, they never mentioned anything about the whole blower motor itself being replaced. Keep in mind that its been close to -40c for the past week and I had no heat blowing so I had no choice but to pay this to get my car back. And to top it all off they had the audacity to quote me for new brake pads and rotors on all 4 brakes (all still have visible pad left and were replaced 18000kms ago) another $843. Then wanted to charge me $350 for a battery but my car was starting in -50c with no problem and was just replaced 14 months ago with a top of the line one. Makes you wonder why people don’t take their cars to the “stealership” anymore…

Body work for my car
I took my car (BMW) to the collision repair center for an estimate. Than it took 2 weeks to get the parts in. I got an email that the part were in, made the appointment, (which took another 2 weeks or so). I got insurance for the rental car and took my car in for the appointment. Upon arrival, I found out that no part were in, nor did I have an appointment . I spoke to the service manager and he promised me that he would pay for the one day of car rental that I incurred. To date I have not received the cheque in spite of submitting the invoices X 3.
The service received was absolutely bad, bad

All the staff from the moment I walked in to purchase my vehicle with Nicole, Alex and Mario. To the day I picked it up from being serviced with Bryan. This crew are friendly and very professional. Talk about service, this Dealership provides it at the highest level. The hassle free experience of purchasing my vehicle to the explanations and follow up on my vehicle while it was in for service. Providing me with what I needed to get my vehicle in and back with as little inconvenience to me as possible.

Very disappointed service appointment
Very disappointed service appointment
I was there last week Friday July 27/18. I had an appointment to have service done on my 2006 Mini Cooper. I arrived well before my 10:00 am appointment and met with Brian in the service department. After discussing what I needed done, they took my keys and I thought they began the work. I was originally told the work would take 2 hours. After waiting until 2:00 pm, we finally called the dealership. Talking again with Brian, the work wasn't done, we were told the transmission fluid should be changed for $700.00 and a new transmission is $7000.00. In the end, nothing was done on my car and I still had to pay over $250.00. I've been asking myself all week what I paid for and keep getting the same answer, nothing. And Brian has not returned our call. I will never again visit this service department. The visit was a waste of my day and my money.

YEG to YWG for Our BMW Service
I dont even know where to begin. This dealership has helped us out with our Z4 all the way through our 328i and now our 228i. Several years ago we realized mid trip we lost our tow hook for the Z4, never been to Birchwood BMW, they helped us out. Then we needed a battery for the 328i last year. While driving to Wpg we encountered an heavy downpour and lost the wiper blade on the drivers side as well as the caps to secure the blades. They helped us out with the wiper blades and caps and then swapped out the battery for 1/2 the price it was here in Edmonton. This year we took out 228i to them and like always they were great did all the routine maintenance and even repaired the plunger that pushes out the gas cover, and did a point inspection of everything vital.
We have nothing but praise for this dealership. We dont even go to a BMW dealer here in Edmonton, cant get any where near any type of service like this at the dealer we bought the 328i at.
We now gladly drive our vehicles to Winnipeg for service, just wish they were at the corner of our perimeter and the open highway!!
