Severely disappointed

I took a day off work to book an appointment for my car to be cleaned I also asked if I could have a wiper installed that you didnt have and ordered for me that I assumed was free because I paid for it before but, not only was my car not cleaned AT ALL the entire day which they gave me no reason why it wasnt even TOUCHED, they also charged me for the wiper. I am seriously debating ever coming to this dealership again.

Faith Shaken In Service Department (Technicians)

I took my vehicle in for service at the dealership on September 23, 2019. Given the age and type of work being suggested, it was recommended to do a multi-point vehicle inspection. I agreed that this was a good idea. The thought was that if significantly expensive issues were discovered, decisions could be made on what to do. The technician noticed a low level “howling” sound from the vehicle. This was identified as the “Front Differential”. I was quoted $2300 to replace it with a used one of the same age and similar mileage as the one currently in the vehicle. If I was offered a new or rebuilt Front Differential, I might have proceeded. Putting in a used one of the same age and similar mileage as the one currently in the vehicle did not make sense. Particularly at a cost of $2300. I needed to think about this and decided to stop further work and paid for the multi-point vehicle inspection. I am glad I did. I spoke to several people that suggested taking the vehicle for a second opinion. I am glad I did. All of the second opinions indicated that the sound was NOT from the Front Differential. It was from the Transfer Case. Wow! I am glad I did not have the Front Differential changed. It was suggested to change a totally different significantly expensive part and repair – that had nothing wrong with it. Makes me wonder what other work that was recommended that might not have needed repair. This also reminds me of an oil leak investigation I had at the same dealership. I was charged for a partial engine cleaning and oil dye to investigate the oil leak. Upon return to the shop, giving time for the oil dye to circulate, the oil leak ended up being an incorrectly installed oil filter. The oil and filter were very recently changed at this same dealership. The oil and filter were changed for “free” but I still had to pay for the partial engine cleaning and engine dye to investigate the oil leak that they caused. This was upsetting. This makes me wonder about dealership vehicle maintenance and service.
