Car is excellent, dealership is sloppy with details and far blow what an Audi dealer should be.
I love my car and would buy another, from a different dealer. I bought over the phone from across the country and as soon as they had my money any urgency left them.
It took a week to get the sales paperwork cleared. They would not be in business if they could not sell a car in 20 minutes.
It took a another week to do the 300 point inspection, why this could not start as soon as they had my money has never been explained. This should take perhaps 2 or 3 hours of shop time.
The third week before I got my car was shipping time. Understandable and not an issue.
When the car arrived at a Calgary dealer neither the dealer or the driver had my contact number. When I impatiently called the receiving dealer they did not know the car was coming. Mark Motors had asked them to receive but never confirmed.the Mark salesman repeatedly and clearly assured me more than once that he had taken care of this detail and i consider it a clear lie on his part due to laziness.
When the car arrived, the receiving dealership was polite and professional even thought i suspect they received no payment for their courtesy to Mark Motors.
The license plate bolts had been removed. A small detail but the type of thing luxury dealerships are suppose to get right and a big pain to have to deal with on the spot.
The last owners contact information was still in the phone module. Was this not one of the 300 point inspection points? Obviously the people who traded in this car expected, in error, that Mark Motors would care about and respect their privacy.
The 3 month satellite radio trial was a nice add on....unless it starts they day you pay for your car and Sirius sends daily reminders each day of the three weeks you wait for it to come and then it is just another poke reminding you of the unjustified delays and just how much they really care about you.
As part of the deal in purchasing the car marks is to send out a new replacement windscreen within 3 months of purchase, I give them about a 20% chance of actually doing this.
The salesman who sold me the car sent me his own 'how was your experience' e-mail. So I gave him a version of this rant. His response was 'well its to late to do anything now'. Perhaps he should have acted on my behalf when i complained about the glacial process to get me my car. Perhaps he could have confirmed the shipping arrangement rather than lying to me that they had been. These could have been done before it was 'to ate to do anything'. His e-mail came a week after I received the car and discoverer the un-deleted phone and missing licence plate bolts. I was content not to go further but his flippancy and disregard for my concerns show me he should not work for a dealership that cares about its customers.
I live in Calgary and my rants may not be heard from this distance but i have contacted Audi Canada and perhaps they will take actions to preserve their brand name.
