disappointed

We had done our research, test driven and knew exactly what we wanted when we walked into the showroom. We had planned to buy from Kanata Kia however our sales person that we had dealt with previously was no longer employed there. Our decision was made and we were purchasing the car that day. We were greeted by a friendly sales person who knew a lot about the vehicle and was able to give us more helpful information than we could ever imagine. He was very eager to please and we were happy with the information provided. When it came to making the sale however he was overly concerned about his rating for his performance. He kept reminding us how important it was and at first it was not a big deal - yes we would give him a good review. However one we began 'the dance' with the numbers, he kept trying to get us to commit when we didn't even know what we were committing to. We had been given a price by Kanata Kia and we wanted to get the same at the Bank Street location. We spoke to another person who was able to explain the breakdown with us so we could understand what the actual costs were and settled on an amount. When we did the final meeting with the finance manager we were offered many things, most of which we declined. We were then offered a decent price on the warranty, rust protection and free oil changes for the life of the car. We asked to think about it and get back to him right away (Monday as this was Saturday). On Monday we accepted the offer that was presented and it was withdrawn. We attempted to persue the offer at the price quoted and was told it was a human error. We declined the revised cost. A couple of days home I noticed I was missing a air cap on my tire - figured that whomever topped up my tires did not put it back on. I removed one off my snow tires and put it on. The interior windows were not clean at all. There were wipe marks all over it. I expected it to be clean. And I noticed that a bold in my back bumper/kick plate is green in color after the car was washed - not rust but corroded? For several reasons I decided not to fill out the survey on my experience as I did not want to be negative. However since this is the second one I have received, and I received a few phone calls, which I did not answer, I decided that I would complete this one. Final words - our sales guy was very knowledgeable however was too concerned about his survey rating and climbing the corporate ladder, our finance guy was pleasant, obtained proper authorizations to make the deal but reversed the offer that was strangely approved when we were in the office. For these reasons, I was disappointed with the dealership but I am happy with my new vehicle thus far. Considering my previous vehicle has 307000 kms I am hoping to have the Sorento for just as long.
