be sure not to pack your insurance policy!

Frustrated that my cost doubled at the rental counter, since I was obliged to purchase insurance. Although my policy covers rental vehicles, I could not prove it to the Discount agent (because it was packed, because I was moving my personal effects, for which I needed to rent a cargo van)! I appreciate the desire to protect vehicles and renters from injury, but if an informed client is willing to waive the insurance offered, the agent should not be obliged to seek proof of adequate alternate coverage.
