Horrendous First Experience (Money Grab/Lack of Safety)

I did not have a good experience and that is an understatement.  I'm a young but capable female student and my partner was with me. I was not told about the $350 charge when I was talking on the phone to a representative to plan for moving expenses nor was I told about having to pay for gas. I was also told that Uhaul charges the same amounts for fee's and things, which come to find out was untrue. I planned to have the vehicle by 9:00 a.m. but didn't get finished at the desk and inspection until close to 10:00 a.m. The bay door was broken and the lady was waiting for another person to hold it open for her but got impatient and did it unsafely anyway; which already gave me a bad vibe. I needed to move that day and I didn't have any other option at the moment or else I would have went elsewhere.  I moved the day Nova Scotia got an unexpected amount of snow. I don't believe the tires were snow tires. The back end of the van kept kicking out. I was lucky I could even return the vehicle. Traffic was horrendous. I returned the vehicle with less than 1/4 tank and begged for them to let me fill it another time. They told me I could take their vehicle home and bring it back by 8:00 a.m. I didn't feel safe doing that after the vehicle was already sliding everywhere due to lack of traction. I was denied the option to come back for the van early in the morning to fill the gas tank; so I could drive my own car with studded tires safely home. In my own car with the studded winter tires I had no issue. So I honestly felt forced to pay the $70.00 + for less than a 1/4 of a tank of gas just so I could get home safely but remember I'm a student who just moved in to a place mid semester. I don't have the funds for this kind of surprise expense. On top of that I was told that I would get my $350 back upon return of the van. Well I didn't get that back yet and on top of that it made my macpass payment bounce and charges of $40.00 plus for non sufficient funds. If the money was back in my account when they said, which was supposed to be immediately, that wouldn't have happened.   Hidden fee's, poor phone representative knowledge, bad tires, delayed return of money and a lack of concern about my safety.
