Vehicle was not up to the expected standard

The first vehicle we were offered had a cracked windscreen which the sales person tried to tell us was not a problem despite me telling him we would be driving in harsh winter conditions. He then insisted we take a smaller vehicle even though he could see our luggage would not fit in the car. When he finally agreed to giving us a larger vehicle it was dirty, smelled of cigarette smoke and had a damaged fender. We failed to note the vehicle did not have a full tank of gas despite the agent noting that it did. Overall experience was poor.
