Horrible service from SMP
Purchased brand new Chevy Blazer in 2020. Have done regular service checks with them. In 2022 they advise I need a new radiator already so it was replaced through factory warranty considering it was a new car. Two years later they tell me I need another radiator. And they try to tell me it’s because vehicles aren’t built for Saskatchewan weather, talking to me like I’m an idiot. They tell me that I have to pay my deductible to replace radiator. I tell them that a brand new car shouldn’t go through two radiators in 4 years, and that there is obviously something wrong with the radiators in Chevy Blazers. In addition I confirmed with other local shops that they seldom have to replace radiators, let alone two in one new car. And SMP had 6 in stock which is very high, obviously they know they have a problem. Had planned to buy another vehicle from them, but why would I when they know there is a problem and don’t do anything about it. I’m sure if I was a man it would have been a different story!
And they overbook clients for appointments. They told me to expect to leave my vehicle overnight. I asked what was the point of making an appointment if they can’t get through the jobs they are booking. They told me they had 14 vehicles from the day before they had to stay overnight as they didn’t get to them and this is a regular occurrence that their service guys deal with but management doesn’t care. Luckily I complained enough to get my car back by 3:00 so I could pick up my children, but having to plan without is ridiculous.
SMP onky provides good service when they are getting something out of it. Horrible experience!! Do not buy there!!!!
