Buy with Caution

Very unhappy with Sherwood Honda. I bought a used 2014 MDX from this dealership about 6 weeks ago. I flew up on a one way flight based on the information provided by George my sales person. Car proof checked out clean, and inspection was presented as in good shape. George text me a few pics of the vehicle, not much detail. Even went to the extent of saying "I wouldn't sell you a vehicle i wouldn't buy myself!" When I arrived In Edmonton it was raining, so as far as I could see the car was in fine shape. There was a strange patch of what appears to be 3M protective film on the back of the bumper. I drove it back to Calgary where it sat in the garage for 3 weeks as I was driving another vehicle. I recently had what I thought was 3M looked at by a body shop, as it seems to be in a strange spot, and they told me the vehicle was in an accident and that it was a horrible repair done on the vehicle. I contacted the used car manager Michael explaining my frustration and he was of little to no help. He said that professionals examine the vehicle and this was not noticed or made aware to them. This is untrue, pics are attached to show this spot on the bumper and any professional would have noticed this. He offered to buy the vehicle back at what he called "Fair Market Value" which was less than fair, stating the vehicle value had changed substantially over the last 6 weeks and that he could only sell it for $4000 less than I originally paid, meaning what he would give me for it would be significantly less. His last attempt to be somewhat helpful was an offer of the next time im in the area (3 hour drive door to door) he would have a body shop fix it so that it would go unnoticed to the next buyer. This would now make me the person having to hide the information from the next potential buyer. I would not recommend dealing with anyone at Sherwood Honda, not would I ever recommend anyone bought a vehicle from them. Its now $1100 dollar fix on a vehicle that I would not have purchased if their sales staff were honest from the beginning.

Not the most honest dealer

Awesome customer service and staffs

The sale staff peter was amazing .He explained all the details of the prices and the truck.Also they have very good customer services .There is no pressure and very friendly. I love my new truck .

Full of mistakes that could be avoided

Brought in to get glass replaced in sunroof. Got back and sunroof not opening, glass on front seats (we initially vacuumed when it first broke). Brought back to fix and stated glass on seats. Picked up after 2nd fix and found more glass on front seats. This is the second time in a row that our vehicle came back to us where it had to be returned to be fixed due to mistakes on your end! Not impressed! Considering changing all maintaince and repair items to a different mechanic as it can not be less reliable. Will stop recommending Honda.

My tire indicator was on and the staff solved the issue at no cost! Staff were very courteous. I have nothing more to say. You need to revise this survey instrument!
