Purchase of a used Ford
Overall, my experience wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.
The salesperson (Edi V.) seemed to be very friendly, accommodating, and made an effort to be as helpful as he reasonably could. I paid what I believe to be a fair amount for the vehicle, perhaps even a pretty good deal. When I misunderstood the type of payment required for the vehicle, they were accommodating and made an effort to help me solve the problem so that my pickup was not delayed. The vehicle had tires unsuitable for winter on it when purchased in February, but the dealership agreed to put on the (included) winter tires for no cost to me.
However, the experience could easily have been improved. It has been over a month and there has been no follow-up from anyone since the purchase — no calls, no emails, no texts, no letters. There were some minor issues with the vehicle that I missed during my inspection that the dealer _must_ have known about but chose not to inform me, or even (unintentionally?) misinformed me. Some examples: (1) I was told that the TPMS error showing on the dash was a common problem due to the cold weather and would go away, but when I took it elsewhere and had the sensors scanned 2 of the 4 sensors weren't functioning, which the dealer would have known if they had bothered to check before they told me not to worry. They could easily (and should have) checked when they were installing the winter tires a few days before I picked up the vehicle. They either knew and didn't want to take the chance that I would insist that the TPMS sensors be replaced, or they were negligent and didn't bother to check. (2) The dealer helpfully installed my license plates for me, but failed to mention that one of the bolts is damaged and can't be removed from the car without a repair, instead simply leaving my plates hanging by a single bolt, waiting to be ripped off the first time I go through the car wash. (3) The dealer-installed winter tires were leaking slowly from the bead because the wheels weren't properly cleaned up before the tires were mounted, so I took it into a tire shop to have the leak repaired. The tire shop had to destroy 2 of the wheel nuts to get them off of the car, and they described the nuts as obviously damaged and never should have been put back onto the car. The dealer removed and replaced these nuts a few days before I picked up the vehicle when they replaced the brake rotors and pads, and put the bad nuts back on. Given what the tire shop has told me, it is _very_ unlikely that the dealer simply didn't notice, and more likely that it was easier to reuse the damaged nuts than to get replacements from Ford. If I had needed to change this tire at the roadside (a reasonable scenario, given that it was leaking and the TPMS wasn't functioning), I probably wouldn't have been able to remove the bolts with hand tools and I would've needed to call a tow truck. Each of these problems could have easily been handled much better by the dealer with relatively little hassle or expense (or they could've at least informed me of the problems so I could deal with them myself). I am left to wonder if I will find other problems that were invisible to me as the buyer that the dealer ignored to expedite the sale.
I still rate my experience as satisfactory, as these were minor problems as far as used car sales go, and I still feel that I got good value in the purchase. There is simply obvious room for improvement. Most of my problems related to things happening in the service bay and not with the front-line staff, though the front-line staff may have been aware of the problems. Despite the pleasant experience at the dealer, I would certainly be reluctant to have a vehicle serviced at this dealer. I don't necessarily recommend that people avoid used car purchases at this dealer, only that they be cautious.

I couldn't have asked for a better first-time buying a car experience
Zarjan was helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and never pushy. He expertly answered every question I had, even the dumb ones, and always wore the brightest smile. As a first-time car buyer, the situation could have been daunting but Zarjan made me feel comfortable and in-control the entire time. I would highly recommend Zarjan and Hyundai to a friend looking to buy.
