Honda CR-V Touring, bad experience!!
Below is the copy of the feedback I provided to Moncton Honda after buying my Honda CR-V Touring from them. I am not sure if they received my email as I never heard back from them.
"
Even though I bought the car, but frankly speaking, I was not satisfied.
I was not satisfied at all the way the sales representative shown the professionalism.
I did not bargain on the base price he offered me, even though I should have, considering ongoing and upcoming financial crisis and the fact that the price of the used cars are really going down. Only reason for not bargaining the price was because I wanted to get the car before my son's birthday.
Below are copies from two email sent by sales representative and business manager:
Shawn's (Sales Representative) email: "The best we will do is $26899 plus tax and fees....."
Marco's email: "The $27542 is the price including a government safety inspection and our $498 dealer administration fee......"
Marco told me that government safety inspection fee is $45.
If my math is not that poor, the total price of the vehicle before tax should be $27442 (base price: $26899 + safety inspection: $45 + dealer administration fee: $498).
But the price before tax was fixed $27542. What was $100 more for? When I asked this to Marco, he advised me to talk to Shawn as he only gave Marco the total price.
When I asked Shawn about extra $100, he could not give me any honest answer. Instead, he said: "it is getting frustrating! You are bargaining for $100.". I told him: I just want to know for what you have added $100. Then he said, consider our dealership fee is $598!!!
$100 is nothing compared to the vehicle price: but the behavior was not expected at all!!
I really expect you to question him: for what purpose he added $100 more and should he be frustrated or should I be frustrated in this case!
Even after I requested him several times from the beginning, I did not get the vehicle by 22nd May; I got it delivered on 26th May. As I did not get the car when I really needed, it did not serve my first purpose. I can share the entire email chains to show how many times I did request.
I got the vehicle in hand on May 26th, today is May 31st. Already one of the remote key FOBs' battery is down. I had to buy new battery. (I have not checked the second FOB yet).
Now my only hope is that, the vehicle is really in good condition.

Hello Jewel,
Sorry to hear your experience with us did not go as we would have hoped! To your points
1- Typically our documentation fee on Pre-owned units is typically $698.00 so we did discount that fee down to $498 as per your email. If there was a misunderstanding between Marco and Shawn on the agreed upon number we are happy to refund you the $100 plus tax to rectify the issue.
2- Delivering the vehicle when the borders are closed was not as easy as it typically would be. With the deal being agreed upon on Wednesday it was simply too short of notice to get you the vehicle by Friday in another province. We did our best to get it to you in a timely manner.
3- It is not required to test the battery fob for battery life remaining on a Certified checkover, however we are happy to cover the cost of the new battery for you as well.
Please send your reciept to andreab@monctonhonda.com and we will get a cheque mailed to you.
We hope this resolves your concerns and appreciate the business and feedback to improve

Untrustworthy
Been taking my car here to see what the ticking noise in the engine is they keep sending me away saying there's nothing wrong with the car that is just the fuel injectors however my mechanic has found it has an extreme oil leak around the engine of where the gasket is, he actually asked me if the car was in a accident as it has already been previously fixed and of course I said I do not know I just got the vehicle in December so now he is fixing it for me after they sent me away and told me nothing is wrong and there was no oil left in my car when checked by my mechanic .I have had nothing but problems with this dealership from the beginning and I definitely do not recommend ever buying a car from them or taking your vehicle in if so and they send you away with nothing wrong get a second opinion that's the best advice I can give
