LONDON CAMPUS TEACHER REFUSING TO TEACH
My teacher is refusing to teach us. we are halfway through a course and he has not taught one thing. he simply plays youtube videos on the screen. WHEN i asked him if we could be taught differently he says there is no other way to teach it. well i wouldn't have paid 30000 if i could use youtube to learn this. i am INCREDIBLY disappointed.

My great experience at TriOS Mississauga campus.
I came to Canada two years ago. I worked retail for eight months when I realized that I needed to continue working on my education to pursue a Canadian degree. A degree that could further help me improve myself, and my skills. In addition, I thought that such a degree could help increase my chances at getting a job here in Canada. I looked around for Local colleges and decided to enroll in triOS college. I chose it because it was among the colleges that offered an internship with the program, which was a great opportunity especially for a person like me who has no past Canadian experience. In addition, triOS was located at a prime location for me. It was close to my apartment, so getting there was a short journey!
triOS is sincerely a great place! I got so much help and encouragement from many people there. There are a number of people like Beckie Tanaka, Bernadette Balano, Trudie Davidson, Steven Potts, Joanne Bradley, and Mariam Frederick, who helped me get to where I am today. Their words of encouragement and advice have pushed me to become a better person.
Beckie Tanaka has offered me so much advice over the past year. She is the one who inspired me to join the accounting and payroll program.
Bernadette Balano was a great help! A very friendly and lovely lady! I enjoyed her presence, and her smile. She explained everything concerning finances to me, and in detail! Trudie Davidson was one of my lovely instructors. She was very professional and understanding. She helped me enforce my improved capabilities in all her different courses. Not only that, but she was also very encouraging! Steven Potts was another instructor of mine. Steven not only taught accounting and payroll courses, but he was a skilled teacher. He made sure to teach us how to depend on ourselves and work hard. He expressed the importance of the attention to detail. Another inspiring person I have met, is Joanne Bradley. She was my employment specialist. She was such a professional and respectful lady. She was helpful and supportive! She gave me the push I needed to believe in myself. She helped me work on my confidence and cheered me on. In addition to her emotional support, she helped set me up with different companies when I was looking for jobs. Last, but certainly not least is Mariam Frederick, she was a delight! She was our campus advisor. She offered all the help she could give in any possible situation you could think of.
triOS was truly a place that I will forever hold close to my heart. It was a great experience. Thank you so much to everybody, mentioned or not, for your help and support and thank you to Mississauga team too!

My Personal Review
I graduated from the Medical Office Assistant program in 2016 and while I enjoyed my experience taking the course - finding a job in my field was a challenge. It has now been 2 years and I feel like I have gotten no where. I have come to realize that it's harder to get a job in an industry that 9 times out of 10 requires for you to already have work experience.
The industry in itself, isn't as viable as I had hoped it would be and therefore, I am looking into going back to school in a different field. Taking the course was a great accomplishment for me and I have no regrets - but I wish the transition from school to work had been more seamless as a whole. I feel schools like Trios need to build more partnerships with employers so that students don't feel like they are left strand.

Hi Jackie, thank you so much for your review. We would really like for you to be re-connected with your Employment Specialist, as they are available to assist you with your job search even after graduation! Please give your campus a call and ask to be transferred to the Career Services department.

Thank you for helping me to change my future
I graduated in 2016 from the Mississauga campus as a Community Service Worker (CSW). Previously i had worked in a totally different field, i lost my job and decided to make a change in my career. i decided on Trios for a couple of reasons; one that the course was only one year in length and two; i would be able to complete an internship. From the moment I walked through the doors to Trios, everyone gave me the feeling of warmth and made me feel that i can be successful in my new choice of career. As my career began, I would meet one of the most influential woman in my life, my instructor Nancy Gibbs. The first lesson i learnt from her was to get to know myself, and to find out if I was capable of being a source of help to other people. The CSW field called for you to be emphatic and compassionate, I found Nancy to be all of those things and more. She taught me to be unbiased and accepting of everyone, even when they gave you a reason not to be kind to them. Thank you Nancy, you are my hero. As I moved through my course I also had Joanne Bradley, my Employment Specialist, who spent a lot of time guiding me through my career choices and never stopped supporting me, even now. Thank you Joanne. I have found a field that I can make a difference in people's life one person at a time, and I have trios to thank for that. Love you all..
