Eastern College

The class its self wasnt bad, but the teacher was awful! The moncton campus teacher for this class is not a good teacher, when questions were asked in class she made it feel as if everyone or the person asking was stupid, valuable class time was also waisted on her chatter about cats and her son, which left us rushing trying to finished what needed to be done. I felt like i tought myself the class, not her.

I miss it not the test ever weeks but everything thing elses . Was a really good experience meeting new people, learning new things and knowing that the help is there if you need it . Great place ,great Teacher great school :)

I was very disappointed with my experience at Eastern College. The lack of support from teaching staff and the state of the curriculum are only the first reasons I would never recommend your school. As a massage therapy student we lacked some of the basic requirements to complete our course efficiently. We filed a report to the board of education as a class at one point as we were so sick of not being heard. We were promised a clinic that was around 6 months late. The tables we were to treat public clients on were ripped and in terrible condition. We didn't have actual tables to work on through class time, we had to work on the massage tables which is ridiculous, there are naked people lying on that and we have to sit at it all day with our books. Not only is that unsanitary, it promotes terrible posture and I had a lot of neck pain as they aren't the correct height. We were told we would have enough hours to graduate just with clinic (which we didn't) and were never taken seriously with this point when we tried to bring it up. The Eastern College modular exams were a joke, the answer keys were always wrong and so we had to open our text books so many times to fight the answers with teachers, it was just embarrassing. And the majority of learning I did was me reading through my own text book in my own time. When we went to our headteacher with any of these problems it was made out as if it was our fault and as if we were complaining over nothing. I feel like I paid way too much money for a school that obviously doesn't value it's students opinions or care for helping them reach their fullest potential. I love massage therapy and I am really happy with the career I have now, I just feel very disappointed with my experience in Eastern College and will not be recommending it. Just as a side note I graduated with a 94% average, I just didn't want you to think I was a bitter student because I failed or wasn't doing well. I put a lot of time and effort into my studies. I have attended another college and a university previously and I was shocked at how Eastern College treated their students. On multiple occasions I saw class mates go to the headteacher for help or with a problem and come out crying because of what she said to them, which is appalling and she should be ashamed of the job she is doing.

The Computer Business Applications program was a good complete training of the most popular MS business applications of today such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.. The related courses were a good training also.

It has been a long road since I began and finished my career of choice!! From looking at eastern colleges add on a bus station to were I'm working in a field I enjoy so much is so gratifying. From the first day I started at this college the instructors and directors were so supportive, and the atmosphere is such a positive one. the instructors really do their best to treat everyone equally, and make everyone feel their voice is heard. Due to my wonderful experience at this college I would recommend it for anyone as well as the Continuing Care Program.. All the instructors are so knowledgeable and really try to balance the class in a personal and professional level which they do so well!! The only thing I feel this college needs is one or two counsellors.. Because through my experience I did have doubts that I may not finish.. And as much as the instructors and other positive and supportive staff try their best to help you.. That is still not their area of experience! So to all those that helped me to were I am today from eastern college!! Nothing I can possibly say can prove my gratitude. I am so happy, and when I begin to Persue more education, I am so thankful I have eastern college still ruting for me every step of the way!! P.s you still have not seen the last of me, bye for now.
