Eastern College

Enrolled in accounting /payroll. Services were good. Teaching was good for the most part. A big thank you to Luke Marshall for always willing to work with us and help when we were having trouble understanding. I would recommend that the courses be extended and remove the unnecessary courses such as career prep which is something that can be offered on a volunteer basis. Overall my experience was good. I'm a firm believer in working hard therefore "you get out of it, what you put into it" - I've studied hard, learned a tremendous amount and am proud to have graduated with a high mark overall. Also, I like the small classes, more one-on-one with the teachers. Less stress of a large class environment.

Eastern college is a good school and I'm happy I took the program I did (Health, Wellness and Recreation) because I do love my job and learned lots during my time there. However, the program is way overpriced for the type of job you will get in this field and the program was very drug out. It could have easily been condensed into a 10 month program.

Eastern college has gone above and beyond in many instances to help me succeed in my program. If you are open to learning and want to graduate, the instructors at Eastern college will stand by you every step of the way. Office skills and business communications modules are very important, and now that I have a paid term with the HRM, I have been using those skills on a daily basis. I recommend the Halifax Eastern College campus to anyone looking to further their education. I started out with a GED diploma and now I have a Paralegal diploma. I am 100% satisfied with my experience. Money well spent.

The staff is wonderful, they make you feel like family.would of preferred more teaching and less text book learning. Or even an introduction lesson to each computer class..found i was teaching myself.

A very rewarding experience tha helped launch a career into a whole new field of life for me.. I love working as a PSW. I love the hands on experience that I received as a student at Eastern College. it made me feel confident and very well prepared to enter the work force, and take on employment in my field of study. I love the daily interaction with the residents., that being a personal Support Worker allows me. Currently working full time as a PSW at Oromocto Special Care Home.
