Amy was extremely helpful in getting my vehicle in on time and out on time as promised. She walked me through every step of the way and kept me informed to any all modifications to the original contract. ie wheel alignment.
Thank you Amy and the entire Palladino team
While having my winter tires installed, having an oil change and having work required in my inside fan assembly, I was told i needed new front and back brakes even though the vehicle had only 62k on it. I was shocked because on all my other vehicles, brakes normally lasted for between 80 and 120k. And usually, the front brakes go long before the back brakes. The mechanic showed me the brakes, and I, not being a mechanic, could not really disagree with him. One thing in particular he showed was the front left brake and he said the pads were so bad that the brake was basically on all the time and he couldn't grind down the rotors on either front or back. I consulted with my son, who has mechanic training, and after him speaking to the mechanic, my son told me he couldn't do the back brakes because he didn't have the computer necessary but could do the front brakes. Reluctantly, I had the back brakes done for over $537.34 (after Amy gave me a 10% discount, which was appreciated) and decided to have my son do the front brakes. When my son proceeded to do the repairs on the front brakes, he discovered that the pads where sticking because of a faulty top slide pin which just required lubrication. He believed there was still plenty of life left on the pads and the rotors were not as bad as described. I feel I was taken advantage of. Every time I go to Pallidino's, they are always trying to upsell me. It's like going to a quick oil change shop. I will still get my oil changed there because they do have the best price in town, but in future, the only other work I will get a second opinion for non-warranty work.
