When I completed my schooling I worked for the bank of Montreal for 3 years and then moved on to a position with the Royal Bank where I stayed for 12 years. I took some time off after that while my home was being built and came in to Myers one day with a friend to pick up her new Genesis. While speaking with a sales rep at that time he mentioned the dealership was looking for female sales reps. I decided to take a chance on selling cars and have been in the business for 4 years now. We have a great crew working here in Kanata, and staff who are conscious of what the consumer is looking for. We take pride in our customer service and I believe that is what makes us successful.
We recently upgraded vehicles with Hyundai and Katherine Burns helped us find exactly what we wanted. She delivered an excellent customer service experience and we could not be happier with our new vehicle!
Katherine Burns as salesperson was fine. She allowed us to test the vehicle well and had all info that we needed.
Where this fell down was in picking up the vehicle - there is supposed to be a full check and the drivers heated seat would not turn off, that is something we had tested and had no issue with 3 days earlier. Being asked to take the vehicle anyway did not go over well, it was not ready and appeared to have not been fully checked. Then we had to wait a week before the parts came in and the car was fixed. All the back and forth driving plus having to call and find out what was happening made it seems like the dealership is unorganized.
Secondly when dealing with the sales manager he tried selling a paint coating and electronic rust proofing package. I get it the electronic module can be removed but the previous owner had already had the paint protection put on. The stickers were already on the car showing that, why is the sales manager trying to sell something already applied??? It sure looked like a money grab and not what should be the best interest of the customer, you can't undue a coating, and if it wears off then it is not being sold as something that wears off.
Lastly the piece of paper that says the power train will have a lifetime warranty if the car is brought back to Myers only for maintenance seems pretty lame as well. Why not provide that if the vehicle is brought to any Hyundai dealer instead of third party garage, don't you trust the other certified Hyundai mechanics?
These are all reasons we're providing a 3 star rating, sales person was good, communications about status of car not great, predelivery check failed something easy to find and finishing off the sales experience looked a lot like just grabbing more cash than helping out.
We have already written a glowing report on the website but will again reiterate that we came in to look only look around but had such a great sales person and a great deal offer that we left owning a new car. Great sales staff, good prices and to boot we love the car. Good quality at good prices
Katherine was an extremely helpful salesperson and very reasonable. She made me, a first time buyer, feel comfortable and non-pressured when it came to purchasing my 2016 Accent. She was honest, respectful, and very pleasant to work with.
