We are sorry to hear that you are having a problem with rough idle and would be more than happy to look at that for you. Please understand that the recall campaign that was performed on your vehicle was simply to address a coolant factory under-fill. That is, at the factory when coolant was being added to the car’s engine, in some cases, an air bubble got trapped in the system, and this manifests itself as the coolant being low. The fix, if there is a problem, is simply to add coolant. That’s all.
In the case of your 2012 Chevy Cruze, the water pump needed to be replaced because it was leaking. At the time your car had 152,743 km. All applicable warranty was applied, and you were not charged for parts or labour to replace the water pump and coolant. At the time of your visit you also had a multi-point inspection performed and were charged a reasonable fee, which was then further discounted. Please keep in mind that warranty is in place to protect against factory defect, and it is not insurance against the cost of normal vehicle maintenance and repair. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give our service department a call.
