Suprising, informative, concise, efficient, courteous and friendly

I originally came to Murray Chev, for the GM Ignition recall. (9:00 am appointment) While waiting in line at your service doors, my check engine light started flashing and the car started to idle very rough. Upon pulling into the service check-in area, Peter said that the recall would be done in a few hours but the other checks for the rough idle and check engine light would be longer. I declined a shuttle home, as I would like to be there when they find out what the problem was. At about 1130am , Peter informed me of part of the problem. Initially it was an ignition coil and a fuel injector. But upon further inspection by tech David Futros, it was found that I also needed a cylinder head gasket replacement. And David also recommended I should replace spark plugs, plug wires, throttle body service, coolant flush, and rad hose replacement. Peter put together an estimate for the complete job and advised by at about 2:00pm. I then waited till about 3:30pm for him to verify pricing and availability of the parts. He advised me that some parts would have to be ordered in and that the whole job would take about 5-7 days. I gave my consent to go ahead with the repairs. Murray Chev / Enterprise provided me with a rental car and I left the dealership at about 5:00pm The repairs were completed by March 31. Being in the automotive repair business I understood the nature of the repairs needed, and I fully understand the problems with getting parts and doing the repairs. My thanks and respect go out to Peter for taking the time to explain everything to me and to do what he could to keep costs low, as this was a major engine repair job. I also wish to thank technician David Futros for taking the time to fully diagnose the problems and for the job right, I appreciate his efforts. I do not mind leaving my car in the shop for a longer period, and allow the technician to take his time and do the job right. As of today, April 24, 2015 the car runs perfect, no problems have arisen. I am a fairly regular customer with Murray Chev, and I hope to continue bringing my car in for service.
