Very disappointed
I was incredibly disappointed with the personal support worker program at the Fredericton campus. The classes reminded me of being back in high school. The information was fed to me not taught and out assignments really required little to no effort to complete. I went two weeks without an instructor at one point and another time we had an alternate instructor for three weeks who was very rude and disrespectful to students when they were telling the class about their experiences. If an individual was having difficulties with the subject matter our instructor spent considerable class time reexplaining everything and we (the other students) became incredibly frustrated because it put us behind. When it came time for our placements we didn't get our schedules until a week before we were due to start them not really allowing much time to work our lives around them. We were also supposed to have visits by our career services advisor, she never once visited my placement nor did she have any communication with my preceptor. Overall, it the school itself felt very poorly run for the money that I spent to go there.
