I had a wonderful experience dealing with Franklin for the recent purchase of my used car, but my overall impression of Hyundai on Hunt Club was negatively affected by two events: First, I had begun dealing with the dealership online and my appointment was arranged through online sales. For some reason, I was booked for a preferred client appointment. When the sales manager came out to greet me, I nearly left: he asked me if anyone else would be joining me for the appointment, like "your husband or father". That is completely unacceptable as a question in this day and age. In no way should the sales manager assume that a woman needs assistance to purchase a car, and secondly to assume that only a male would be a suitable purchase companion was even more insulting. I nearly walked out but decided to give Franklin a chance when he came over. I'm glad I did because my experience with him was much more pleasant. The second negative part of my purchase experience was the state of the car when I received it. I was only able to visit the car at night, thanks to my work schedule. I never truly saw the state in which the car interior was until the morning after I came home with it. I had pointed out a stain on the back seat and Franklin had assured me they would try to get it out before I picked it up, but it was still there when I came to claim the car. I thought perhaps it was a tough, embedded stain and let it go. However, the next morning, I was incredibly disappointed with what daylight revealed: While the car had been well vaccumed and the exterior well cleaned, the upholstery was stained and soiled with what appeared to be food from the previous owner, and there was the previous owner's garbage in the various holders (on doors, center console). No effort had been made whatsoever to clean the car. In the end, I had to take the car to get detailed at my own expense - an out of pocket cost I had not anticipated for the purchase. I did speak with Franklin about these two events. They have definitely tainted my view of your dealership and I will think again before returning for my next car purchase.
