Having my vehicle serviced at Murrays Chev was disappointing on most fronts.
Bought vehicle (Lexus) from Murrays approx 3 yrs ago. Bought a 4 year/80Km warranty when I purchased the car through your dealership. First time I have had service (other than oil changes) in 3 years. I reported I was losing anti-freeze. The rad was replaced. Also, I reported hearing a noise coming from back of the vehicle, your service department replaced a RR Hub and both these items were covered by the warranty (which was great !). Peter, the service writer was good, I kept after him to get my vehicle into Birchwood Lexus as I was also having a grinding problem with my sunroof as your service department didnt want to touch it. So, just over 3 weeks later (June 8 to June 30), I get my car into the Lexus dealership to get them to look at the sunroof, determine what needs to be done to correct the problem and then figure out what is covered under my warranty. It turns out that it wasnt, so that was disappointing, but not totally unexpected. The disappointing part was while they, their dealership identified the my water pump was leaking and should be replaced. This $1,100 piece of work, would have been covered under the initial $150 deposit I paid your dealership had your service department identified it, and reported it to the warranty company. Now it is going to cost me an extra $200 because I didnt know that needed to be replaced (Birchwood said it had been leaking for a while).
Why, when you have a client coming in to get warranty work done, would you not have your mechanics look at the whole of the car and point out any thing else that is needed to be done is beyond me.
