Orillia Volkswagen doesn't stand behind their service and struggle with ending upfront and honest.
I have had multiple issues with Orillia Volkswagen and Volkswagen Canada. They did not stand behind their rust corrosion warranty with my vehicle. After purchasing my Jetta from them, they refused to cover the obvious rust corrosion issue stating that 'the paint thickness was too high'. They also lost two sets of photos and forgot to submit them to Volkswagen Canada twice. I had not at any point had the car painted during my ownership either.
As well, I had a timing chain issue brought to them on FOUR different occasions and it still has not been corrected after thousands of dollars in repairs as well as having it towed to get a second opinion on several occasions. They consistently make it a challenge to get work done under warranty and find ways to avoid standing behind their work. As I have come to research, it is a flaw in design of this model but at no point did they come forward with that or any advice about the issue.
Although the vehicle has been great to drive when functioning properly, the hassle dealing with issues at the Orillia dealership have been less than ideal. Customer satisfaction is not a priority. In fact, I am still waiting for a call back from their general manager after he stated that he would get back to me after the August long weekend. I won't hold my breath as it is almost labour day weekend.
