Was never helped

I had an issue with my alarm system in my new vehicle. I was told to immediately come to the shop to have someone look at it. When I arrived I was told "whoever told you to come down wasn't thinkong: we won't be able to see the vehicle until some time tomorrow." Why was I told to rush down if they couldn't help me?
