Service area needs work
Showed up to drop off my car for the scheduled appointment, related to a recall notice I had received. Was told the recall had been recalled, as the fix they had was causing other problems. (with the A/C, apparently) We have 2 of the same car (Elantras) which were booked in one after the other for this recall. Why would no one call us to let us know the recall was cancelled until they find a new fix, instead of leaving us to show up at the dealership for no reason?
They have a sign behind the service desk with their 5 points of service commitment.
-Greeting you immediately when you walk in
-Doing a walk around of your vehicle with you
-Keeping you up to date on your vehicle service
-Returning the car cleaner than they got it
-Following up after to see how your experience was.
In my experience in the many times I have been in to see them for the 2 cars we bought from them, I find that
-I am usually ignored when I walk in as I stand in line waiting until they call me up (even when they have no other customer at their desk and are just doing paperwork)
-I have never once done a walk around of my car (either at drop off or pickup) with the Hyundai rep, or been offered one
-I am only 'kept up to date' on my vehicle service when they 'found something' and wanted me to authorize further work to be done. (On the 2 times my car was there longer than a few hours I had to be calling in to get updates)
-My car doesn't come back cleaner than I dropped it off. (it isn't dirtier, but their service commitment says will be cleaner) I have even asked if they have a service for any kind of cleaning/washing/etc and told they don't
-I don't recall ever having had a follow up after my service
