Very Positive Experience with Ryan...
I would like to point out that my experience with Ryan Tuck (sales associate) was exemplary – he is very customer friendly and ultra-accommodating during all aspects of the vehicle purchase process. Ryan gave me a good wrap up of the new vehicle information and an overview of the electronic information systems in my new vehicle. Ryan Tuck is a keeper - excellent service and quite knowledgeable….
Just for some background - this is my 5th GMC / Chevy small truck purchase and the second at Georgian (1991 S10, 1994 S10, 2001 S10, 2008 Canyon and now 2017 Canyon)...
The financial manager (Sandra) shortcomings as follows (even though all items were discussed during initial visit when ordering the new truck):
• Did not make allowance for use of ‘GM Points’ even though this was discussed when truck was ordered.
• Contacted the day of truck delivery (pickup) and advised by manager that the points would have to be transferred (through ‘GM Points’ contact) into my name from my wife.
• She also commented that ‘she would have to redo numbers for final contract’, like it was an inconvenience - even though this was previously discussed
• There was no allowance or provision by the manager in final contract for any trade in allowance.
• List provide by the finance manager indicated the requirement for a ‘VOID’ cheque even though we had already provided one on the initial meeting (when truck was purchased). The VOID cheque that we had previously provided was included in the final contract papers - sloppy.
I found Sandra great to deal with initially, but subsequent dealings seemed to go south – this all seemed to be in response to our discussions around me not wanting to purchase the ‘Rust Protection’ and/or the ‘Paint Protection’. I found her attitude post these conversations to be less than ‘Customer Friendly’ – I expressed my opinion and dissatisfaction (about Sandra) to Ryan Tuck when my wife and I picked up the new truck. Ryan was actually apologizing for her (this is possibly not the first time) – I certainly expressed to Ryan that it had nothing to do with him or his performance.
