Door Lock Issue - Brand New CRV
1 – Mid October - Started noticing driver side door intermittently not unlocking with FOB, door button and handle sensor. Have to get in the passenger side and crawl over.
2 – Nov. 1 – Called for 11 am apt. Called back at 2:50 pm and car was still not in the shop. Phil called back at 3:20 and said they couldn’t re-create the issue and could not do anything.
3 – Nov. 2 – Locked out of car again. Drove straight to dealer where Phil and Tech witnessed the issue. Tech said he had never seen that before and would order a door lock actuator.
4 – Nov. 3 – Apt. to have actuator replaced at 2:30 pm and resolved the issue.
When the problem could not be recreated the service advisor should have provided me with a courtesy vehicle and kept the CRV until it was fixed. I understand that problems that cannot be recreated are difficult to fix, but that is not my problem, especially not on a 5 week old vehicle.
