Misleading call from call center
Hello,
While we had an overall positive experience at the Orleans Mitsubishi dealership, there was an issue that I do not feel was properly addressed. We had met with Craig twice already when I received a phone call from someone who claimed to work at the dealership. He said that they were getting in a "special VIP" who would offer me more for my trade in than the dealership could, and that I should schedule an appointment to meet with him privately, which I did. I was very keen to see what this person could offer, as the dealership had not offered me very much money for my trade in. When I arrived at the dealership and inquired about my appointment, I was directed back to Craig. He explained that the call I received was from a call center and that they had (wrongly) used a popular sales technique to get me in. I was very disturbed by this as we had already formed a relationship with Craig and it felt like an invasion of my privacy. I am not sure who instructed the call center to contact me with this fake "offer" but it was wrong and so not appreciated. I was actually ready to leave right there and then, but Craig was very apologetic (even though it had nothing to do with him) and managed to convince me to stay. I think this issue needs to be addressed moving forward, because it will affect the reputation of the dealership, if it has not already done so. Thank you.
