Extended Warranty Issue
had our 2012 CRV in for service on Nov 13/17. The visit before this one, I had asked to investigate what was causing a screeching noise when we used our hands free cell phone in the car. It was determined the microphone needed to be replaced. I asked them to fix it and have my extended warranty to cover it. They came back to me that my “bumper to bumper” warranty would not cover it. I asked them not to fix it. After my Nov 13/17 visit, I asked my service representative to have the person in charge of warranties to call me and explain to me why my “bumper to bumper” warranty wouldn’t cover the replacement of the microphone. Michael Goodpeser (I probably have the spelling wrong), called me and I explained to him my situation. He said he would call me back. I haven’t heard from Michael since that first call. I called him on November 28/17 and left a message, but still haven’t heard back. I’m not happy with this lack of service and I’m not happy my “bumper to bumper” warranty won’t cover my microphone. I bought the extended warranty because I was told it would cover EVERYTHING except maintenance items. A new microphone is not a maintenance item. We have bought our last 3 new cars from Winnipeg Honda and have all of them completely serviced by Winnipeg Honda. We have purchased a 2001 CRV, 2007 FIT abd a 2012 CRV. We will be in the market for a new car in 2018 and was thinking of purchasing a 2018 Pilot. I will not come back to Winnipeg Honda if I’m not taken care of on this warranty item.
