Worst experience EVER

I have never seen or experienced such unprofessionalism as I have at Lindsay GMC. My partner and I were interested in a used vehicle at this location. We spoke with Dan Moore after looking at the vehicle. We had some concerns with it as it was used, for example if we were to purchase the broken cup holder would be fixed for us prior to receiving the vehicle, as well as a couple others. We looked at financing with him, we had a possible financing plan made up. With this paperwork our concerns of what needed fixing on the vehicle were written in. Also with this paperwork Dan had us leave a $150 deposit, but we were guaranteed we’d receive it back if we changed our minds about the vehicle. He signed off on this. Our next visit was with Cindy to see if we qualified for the financing without a co-signer. We were told by Josh Baxter we needed to leave the remaining of our $500 deposit, we made a deposit of $350. We were again reassured and guaranteed that we’d receive our deposit back in full if we didn’t qualify. Again Dan signed off on this as well. After 24 hours or so, we were told we did not qualify on our own and we would need to find a co-signer. We decided to cancel the process. We went in to speak with Dan to let him know we were no longer interested. The EXACT response we got from him was “you’ve got to be f*cking kidding me” as he literally threw our papers at us. Before anything had been finalized the vehicle concerns we had had already been fixed in the vehicle, therefore they put money into it. BUT we hadn’t finalized or had a final agreement to this. Dan told us we wouldn’t absolutely not be getting our deposit back and that we could take it up with the used car sales manager Josh Baxter. I spoke with him over the phone about the issue and was told that they would not be giving us our deposit back. I let him know his employee Dan Moore signed off on this and guaranteed we would be given it back. Josh said Dan didn’t have the authority to do so. It is not my fault he had an employee promise a customer something he shouldn’t have. It doesn’t change the facts that I was guaranteed in writing. I asked Josh for a customer service number to which he replied there wasn’t one. I then went to the owner of this location, he reassured me he would speak to these two employees and get back to me. The owner had Josh Baxter call me back instead. When I asked to speak with the manager again I was told he was refusing to speak with me. This infuriated me. The owner didn’t feel the issue and myself was important enough for him to deal with himself. I searched for a customer service number myself, I found one. I sent them photos of the paperwork with the agreement on it. They contacted the dealership and got the same answer as I did. I was at a loss. We fought with Josh Baxter on this for months. He said he had had enough of our complaints and agreed to return us half of our deposit. We accepted. I’m not satisfied with this but there’s nothing more I can do. NEVER will I EVER return to this dealership! I can not believe how unbelievably rude these people were to us. I have shared my story with everyone I know. No one should have to deal with that.
