There was a breakdown in communication.
I recently purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado WT via financing. I had a limited budget to work with for optional features. The truck I was shown at the dealership had a tonneau cover and sidesteps. The truck did not have heated seats or a remote start system. These were options I had worked into my budget. It was explained by the salesperson that the tonneau cover was not included with the truck. At no time during the buying process was it explained that the sidesteps would be removed. It was mentioned to the salesperson that I liked having the sidesteps for the truck as my elderly parents would need them. The salesperson did tell me the "accessories" would be removed when I brought the truck back in for up-fitting. It was my error for not asking exactly what was considered an accessory on the truck. It was the salesperson's error for not explaining fully the options the truck were being sold with. Overall, my experience was good despite the hiccup over the sidesteps. I would recommend the dealership to others.
