Won’t return deposit
By way of update, I’m happy to report that the situation was remedied by the dealership. The issue seemed to have been that the person was on vacation who I had called, but I had no way of knowing this, so assumed - wrongfully - the worst. I have been totally reimbursed. Also, just to be clear, I didn’t intend to lay blame on anyone in my previous post - I do feel that the finance manager did his best for me under the circumstances. It just wasn’t the car for me in the end!
