Charged for damages while parked in Discount's parking lot after hours

Phoned Discount in September and received confirmation on a 26 ft truck for November 3rd. I was told to pick up the truck at Aimco and Dixie road at 8;30 on the 3rd.. I phoned to confirm again on I believe Nov. 1st and was told truck would not be available until 10;00 am. I explained I had four movers coming for 9;00 am and the truck had to be there for then. Later that day I was informed I could pick up a truck at Battleford and Irin Mills RD.. At 7.30 AM on November 3rd I received a phone call from Discount saying the 26ft truck was not available and I would only get a 20ft truck. I was upset but had no choice. I ended up renting a van from a neighbour to move the balance of my furniture .Because of all the screw ups I eventually ended up back at Discount on Battleford around 830 pm and found there was no parking so I left the truck in the driveway against the building with drivers side to the driveway and phoned Discount assistance to tell me where to leave the key as I was never informed. They told me not to lock it in the truck as it would be an additional charge for CAA or whoever to unlock the door so I put the key in the back of the truck under a piece of styrofoam and called Discount again to let them know. The lady said she would send them an email telling them where the key was. To make sure Discount was aware when I awoke on Sunday morning the 4th. and phoned Discount to let them know as well. Shortly afterward I received a phone call saying there was damage to the truck and I was shocked and was at the location within the hour. There was damage to the driver's side if the box which looked like another truck hit it. I asked them to check the cameras and see if anything showed up on the video and to call me on Monday the 5th. I heard nothing from Discount on Monday so I called today Tuesday and was told nothing showed up on video and I would be charged for all damages up to $2500.00 and I have paid the insurance premium. I have rented from Discount many times and they were my preferred supplier but never did I have anything like this crap happen. I don't agree with this but I guess if you sign the agreement you are screwed. Gerald Mac Neil
