CRV Recall
My recent purchase of a pre-owned 2017 CRV was due to the rear-frame corrosion recall pulling my 2007 CRV off the road. The additional amount added to the buy back of the 2007 was appreciated seeing as it was so sudden to be without a vehicle. Rob Shea was very kind, understanding and tried his best to make the process as painless as possible by setting up a loaner, a rental, allowing me to drive what would be my CRV for a little while before going in for repairs, as well as other small things he thought to do which were a big help. Though there were still a few hiccups along the way such as an unexpected repair nearly causing me to be an 8th day without my intended purchase and having been to the dealership 5 times in 2 weeks. As a full-time working mother to a young child, it was difficult and frustrating to have to make all these trips. In addition, an accounting nightmare where the cheque written (to be used toward my purchase) was deposited per the dealership’s suggestion, to then be told by my bank there will be a 4 day hold on it, leaving me unable to get a bank draft done up for the entire down payment, back and forth talk with the dealership again, and with the stop payment they decided to do after I informed them of this debacle, it left me unable to use any funds in my account for 4 days. Overall, between the positives and negatives of this experience, it leaves me with a review between a 3 and 4 star.
