I purchased a 2012 Ford F150 one year ago...september 2018...70,000 kms..Ive driven it about 8,000 kms since...2 weeks ago the transmission started slipping...I pulled over and got it towed to Haldimand service dept....long story short, needed a new transmission....$3200.00 dollars ... and no I didnt purchase any warranties ... with only 70,000 kms and knowing I wouldnt drive it much I rolled the dice ... my mistake ... now, Im 65 yrs old and have owned a number of cars ... 2 of which I put over 400.000 kms on .. I have never had had any issues with a transmission .. ever ...I had heard good things about Haldimand ... in fact the buying process was fine .. also the service dept was very good about handling the transmission... so no complaints there...Im just very dissapointed in the condition of the vehicle ... Im curious how it could receive a clean bill of health before purchase, yet drop a transmission with only 78,000 kms .... also, my engine light came on 2 days ago ... so it seems my problems are ongoing ... anyway, buyer beware!!
