Regular Maintenance - Trust

I have had nothing but a great experience with JTC up until this week. I had called in to have my winter tires and an oil change done on my jeep. The associate on the phone asked me how many kilometers were on my jeep and suggested that at the level I was at that I would need an induction. As my 2019 Jeep is my baby and I want to treat it well I agreed and scheduled the maintenance. When I went to pay for the service I was completely overwhelmed by the $784.00 bill I received. There are two issues here 1. I trusted my dealer to have transparent conversations with me about the cost of the service - Yes I agree and you will argue that I should have asked.......but no where in my though process did I think I'd have to ask if servicing my vehicle was going to cost me more than the monthly payment. I also asked for a military discount as well as other pricing questions where I was told that due to package pricing this was not available (this would have been an opportune time to talk to me about how much this was going to cost because they clearly knew I was asking questions). I really feel that this service was sneaky and underhanded rather than clear, fair and transparent. I've learned my lesson. Always make sure that you have every penny accounted for prior to having the work done, don't trust this dealer be honest with you. A simple lack of conversation has damaged a really good relationship. I will likely not return for future service or purchase another vehicle from a company I can't trust.
