Reserved but almost no available car

I have been a loyal customer to Discount all these years. However, recently about two-three times, I did not get the rental car on time and have to wait in the store for almost an hour. On another occasion, I did contact the store to inquire if the reserved car is available but they said no due to many people walk-in. They promised to let me know the status of availability at the end of the day. Unfortunately, none of the staff called me.
