Profit driven by any means

Upon picking up the vehicle I was explained the procedure for dropping off the keys after hours and when the office was closed. Upon my arrival to drop the vehicle off the office was closed and had a sign on the door with a telephone number to call if need be. Because I was in a hurry I followed the procedure of dropping off the keys without making use of the telephone number of the sign. A few hours later I received a call from Discount telling me that there was going to be extra charges because of a chip stone mark on the windshield. First I was very thorough on my inspection and I am convinced there was no additional chip stone marks. Second I was appalled by the approach of the service clerk wanting to proceed with charges without even inviting me to witness the damage. He was rude and not at all accommodating. I ended the conversation convinced he was being dishonest. The next day I received a telephone call from the Discount office informing me they were going to disregard the chip stone related charges. It all ended well but left a bitter taste on my mouth. I had every intention to pay for the charges provided they were legitimate and had received respectful and customer focused service.
