Stressful situation and poor service

Was recommended the Discount rental by my insurance company who was covering my car rental as my car met with a collision We were already stressed as a result of the collision when we came to the discount rental facility at Erin mills and battle ford location We were given the Volkswagen Golf wagoncar which was bigger than what we wanted and requested but were told it was the only small size car they had - we took it and used it sparingly for 1.5 days and I did the right thing and brought it back to them as I had a tire air pressure issue and wanted to exchange with a smaller car- they checked and it was a nail in the tire and made me pay for a new tire - the service desk guy told me he would call me and let me know charges which he never did Leaving me stressed further They then Exchanged the car for a Volkswagen Jetta( which was now miraculously available in inventory as opposed to earlier when we had requested)- and I also felt that they took advantage of the stressful situation and our helplessness and we were told to add on daily $11.99 further insurance charge to cover situations like the one mentioned above which we felt we had no choice but to accept Have had the Jetta for a couple weeks and will need it for a couple more so I’m hoping that the management can come up with some sort of a solution for the stressful situation above and redeem themselves and change a negative experience into a positive one Look forward to hearing from the management team with a solution
