Very upsetting and costly experience purchasing a used vehicle with Team Honda and Honda Canada- Transmission Failure

I will share my experience with Team Honda so future customers are careful. This is in my own words based on how I experienced it and felt it. I bought a pre-owned CRV 2016. I had an upsetting experience with the extended warranty misinformation, transmission failure and steering rack connector defect. . I drove this car very minimally, only 29,000 km in 2 1/2 years taking good care of it without any major repair and regular maintenance and oil change and was planning to keep the car for a long time. After 2 1/2 years driving, the car stopped while I was driving and the car wouldn't go into gear. I had it towed it was found to have a transmission complete failure and it was replaced at a total cost of 4,000$ While working on the transmission and noticing a sign of abnormal resistance in the steering, the mechanic noticed the connector wires in the steering rack were churned and wrapped together with a general masking tape and to repair this it would cost me approx. 500$ I thought I was purchasing initially a Honda certified car with a Honda Plus warranty extension to 2023 which would have covered the manufacturing transmission failure replacement with Honda Canada. But, I was misinformed and given the wrong information on which I left with a certified car with shorter comprehensive warranty on it from the previous owner. I was told that the car had passed the Ontario Safety Standards when doing the transmission repair it was found that the steering connector was churned and taped and that was not repaired before selling me the car. The CVT transmission of the 2016 CRV that I bought at mileage of 89,000 km shouldn't have failed so soon at 118,000 km mileage and this is the opinion of two other dealerships. This testify the quality of the car manufactured by Honda Canada as an organization. I shouldn't have the need to replace the whole transmission before 180,000 miles especially when I only drove 29,000 km in 2 years and half since I purchased it from Team Honda. I sincerely hope nobody else will go through the same and will be careful when buying from here. The dealership did not do much to help for the troubles I went through except to offer the reparation of the steering connector wires at half the cost of another mechanic. I would not recommend purchasing a car from here and if you do make sure you are satisfied about the quality of the car, at your own risk.
