If you are someone who does not know much about cars I STRONGLY advise against getting your car serviced here. I will say that I did have a great experience with purchasing my car - however I was completely scammed by the service department. I went to get my tires changed and stored and walked out with a 2000$ bill worth of maintenance. Let me just point out that my car is not even two years old with around 26,000kms (2022 Kona). Since my car is obviously still very new, I knew for a fact that my car did not need any of this work. (brake service, alignment, hvac, induction service, etc.) However since I paid for an extended warranty, I wanted to make sure that I maintained my car in order for my warranty to be honoured in the future. I asked Matthew, the service manager - do I seriously need to get all of this work done for my warranty? I was told yes. Knowing nothing about cars - how am I supposed to know better when being lied to? I know NOW that the only services required in order to maintain my car for warranty is oil/fluid changes and none of the services that they charged me for falls under that category. I have most definitely learned my lesson, but this service department is definitely not transparent - especially if you are a 21-year-old girl with no knowledge of cars. The dealership has called it a miscommunication, but no one in their right mind would spend that much on a car that is not even two years old. I only spent this money because I was led to believe that I needed to for my warranty. If anything make sure to discuss in detail with their service department, what is recommended versus what is actually required to honour warranties. Very misleading and unfortunately, I fell victim. I’ve been extremely loyal to this dealership for services since I had a great experience when purchasing my car, however I will obviously be going somewhere else for now on.
