Lost faith in loyalty and honesty in car business.
This is my experience with my 3rd Truck lease from Wheaton. I was loyal not to prices but to my sales guy there, but the level of dishonesty and snake oil salesmanship has broken all ties.
May of 2022 my sales guy reaches out and says ‘I know it’s before you lease is up but interest is going to be going up. I would like your truck and you let us build you a new one we will let you drive your truck until the ne comes in’
I agree and start the dealing with the salesman. We agree upon a build price of new truck ($96,393 +tax, mudflaps ant toneu cover in) payout for lease truck sight unseen ($80000,I replace the windshield, tires are ok as only 61000km on truck), FINANCING at 5.9% (this is why i made the deal before lease was up), 36months and 24000km/year and possibility of a cash cheque up to $4000 depending on Market. on June 7th. 2022 I agreed. I was told to provide a $1000 deposit. The finance department “Forgot to send the email” and after I reached out multiple time I was able to pay the deposit June 17th 2022. At that deal my lease would have been $484/BW for 3 years at 24000km/year
Went to pickup new truck on Oct 21, 2022.
The paperwork came to me and what I saw was appalling. Build price at just under $110000, it’s the same truck build I requested.
Lease rate at 7.90%.
2 years at 20000km/year
$62000 for the lease truck
Move the old toneu cover to new truck
Payment were $585/BW
For 6 hour the sales guy run back and forth to the GM, and I finally agreed to a joke of a contract from what I had agreed to in June.
Wheaton has lost me as a customer.
I had a new Tahoe built buy the sales man that I was gong to get rolling that day as a thank you to him. Nope.
Wheaton has lost 2 lease buy back every 3 years, and maintenance during those periods for next 8 vehicles in my family.
I love Chevy… but I’m so dissatisfied that I have already been looking at Ford. Sorry not mad enough to look at a Dodge. But ya a Ford!
Thank you for letting me pass my story. The dealership knew I wasn’t happy so I’ve been ghosted by them… I appreciate being able to vent my poor experience.
