Good

Very helpful staff at pickup. However the Vehicle (Hyundai SUV) had poor windshield wipers, hampering visibility. Overall this was a good deal.

Overall experience - poor service

I booked my reservation on December 5th for a small SUV. I live close to the location. Therefore, I went in personally to speak with them to change my pick up date to Saturday, Dec 23rd from the 22nd. There were not any issues at that time. They said it would be busy that morning so I arrived 15 minutes before you opened so that I would possibly be the first to be served. The person working that day did not come in until 8:45 am. I had called your customer service twice as I was in need of a vehicle and had to get on the road for the holidays and knew that getting a vehicle elsewhere was going to be difficult at that time. When he did arrive, he was apologetic and did his best. He said he was upgrading me at no additional charge to a Ford Expedition. I did not want a Ford Expedition as I only needed a small SUV and it is an exceptionally large vehicle. When we proceeded downstairs to get the vehicle, there was a small SUV in the next parking spot. I asked why I could not have it. He said it was booked and the person would be there shortly to pick it up. At that point, it was after 9 am and I needed to get on the road. Luckily, I am comfortable driving large vehicles, but not everyone is. My biggest concern with the car, as much as it was a free upgrade was the gas mileage compared to a small SUV. I did not need a car that size otherwise, I would have booked it. Like I mentioned above I also made my reservation on December 5th. Therefore, there should have been a vehicle there for me. I then received an email on the 26th saying my car was due back at 9 am on the 27th. I had never changed my return date or time. The original booking was for 4 pm on the 27th. I proceeded to call only to get customer service again where they transferred my call twice, and then it was finally sent to a voicemail - this entire call took 45 minutes as I was on hold for most of it. I tried to call the location again on the morning of the 27th to inform them the car would be there at 4 pm. Nobody answered. They finally called me around 10:45 am inquiring where I was. I then explained to them that I never changed my return time and it was done on their end without notifying me. I expressed all of my concerns when I returned the vehicle and was told that they didn't have a key for the small SUV at the time of my pick-up and they would give me 10% off my next booking. I'm not interested in booking again unfortunately due to the lack of communication, organization and the misinformation given to me. I just recently moved back to Toronto from Alberta and decided to not renew my car lease as I live in an area where I don't need a car and rent a car a few times a month for my trips out of the city. Your location at Yonge and Eglinton is very convenient for me, but due to the above concerns, I will not be renting from you again.
