The tires were completely run down. Horrible experience.

The tires were completely run down. We got stuck several times just plain on the road with a bit of snow, where other cars pass by perfectly fine. All because of the tires. Horrible experience. Had to cancel our plans because it's not safe to drive this car. Also, it was not what we reserved.

higher daily rates than the other rental companies, including "USA Fee" yet??!!

For some reason, the Discount was on top of my Google search results, when I was looking for a two day rental car. When booking, it started with a usuall daily rate, like I was used to (it was not the first time to rent a car in Toronto), but then when I closed the booking online, the price was increased by almost a whole daily rate. Yet, at the pick up point (Yonge/Eglinton) I had to pay $12.- per day for traveling to USA!! THIS was something that was totally new to me. I always rent a car to travel to the US, but never ever have been charged for it! At the end of the day, Discount charged me for a two day rent of an intermediate car as much as other companies would charge for 8 days! The car itself was a pretty older model, had a quite high fuel consumption and dirty front seats. I will never again book with discount and don't recommend the company for renting smaller cars.

good deal

it wasn't a luxurious car but the price was reasonable. On the first time it's hard to find the office location

Messy

The people that helped us were friendly, courteous and kind. However, the system had multiple delays and made some errors that were not corrected even though we pointed them out. While we were told this would not be an issue, this ended up causing a lot of confusion. We ended up getting delayed due to difficulty figuring out our drivers. One major issue being the fact that we were told by the pearson airport location that our primary driver wasn’t on the insurance because the system had printed the name of the person who booked it online with the information of the primary driver. Since it was a holiday, the location we rented from wasn’t open therefore we couldn’t contact them to figure things out. Therefore, we ended up getting back super late, without refilling the has, etc. We are being charged an additional $350 for this, which I don’t believe is fair.

The car was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The young man who processed the rental was very nice, and also was waiting for me when I returned the car which saved me a lot of time. My one issue is I was a bit concerned at how long the credit card hold was, but it eventually got released and everything else was excellent.
