Not very happy

I don't really leave reviews so bare with me. This is just the experience that I've had yours may be different. I bought my car in November from global auto sales. The service I had was Great with buying it the sales guy was professional and nice set everything up with me while out of town but trade in sucked(worst one I got offered) but I really liked the car and because I came from out of town he got me there. He told me it was smoking really bad (which it was not) but I wasn't going to argue over it and honestly I was just happy to get something else so I'm not even upset. Funny to get peanuts on trade in though and see the value 3 times higher when you check the site one week later lol! When I got my car Everything seemed Great! Until I was driving back to the air BnB with the wife and I had a low tire pressure sensor come on. I wasn't mad with them cause I could have possibly picked it up so you never know. I stopped and put air in the tires and all good again to continue on my way back to the air BnB. Next morning heading back home No lights when I started the car..Amazing! So I was in a great mood driving this nice car home happy as I should be getting a new(to me) car. On my drive home I had a Sensor come on in my passenger mirror My blind spot assist stuck on and wouldn't turn off. Again I have had cars with this before salt over the winter months I wasn't going to be upset with this until I looked into it further. The light would turn off with the car, but once it was driving it always stays on not thrilled but I can fix that kinda stuff. After a long drive the wife and I got home the car was running amazing. No issues...well at least for the next three weeks other than having to fill up 3 of the 4 tires every four days! I was very happy despite the tires. I like to work on my cars and do little things to them here and there so I decided to take off all of the wheels and paint them. I took the first two off and painted them, everything went well so I put them back on and tried to take the back wheels off. The mechanic tightened the lug nuts on the wheels so tight he must have used an impact! They were on so tight when I used the breaker bar it snapped the Lock nut end off to the point where the end of the lock nut jammed into the wheel. My dad and I fought with it for about 3-4 hours because I really didn't want to have to replace the rim! While trying to remove the rim we realized the rear wheel bearing was broken. The rim had to be drilled out so we could get it off. After buying new rims 1500$ later (my choice but a factory rim would have been at least 500) so still terrible. So far after having the car 3 months(bought at the very end of November)4000km later the car needs New brakes, a wheel bearing, Passenger blind assist sensor, and 3 tires patched because slow leaks I decided to finally sit down and write a review. I'm not saying don't buy from them! All I'm saying is get a second opinion on what the vehicle needs. I don't beat my vehicles up as I need them to last. The guy who certified the car I feel skipped a lot of corners! I strongly suggest taking it to a reputable mechanic to get it looked at so you don't have addition issues like I've had! Specially after having the car a short period of time I'm mostly upset about the brakes because I feel like after this small amount of time how could you pass that!. I did sent an email with a few issues and never heard anything back as they probably don't care. So i am just warning people to get a second opinion for the safety they seem to let a lot slide! Sorry for the long message just wanted to leave an honest review on my experience and hope if you do buy from this dealer it is better for you. Again like I said before everyone has different experiences this was mine.

Best Dealership Experience I've had in Ottawa

I had been casually looking for a vehicle for a few years. Made the rounds to many different dealerships across Ottawa. Some good, some not so good. Couldn't get comfortable enough to make a deal. Found an amazing deal on a used X1 at Global and went in to check it out. Met Alex outside and he gladly handed me the keys for a solo test drive, no questions asked. Upon return we sat down to discuss a possible deal, no pressure, no sales people ganging up, just an overall casual buying experience. The way it should be. I was really impressed and surprised. Alex was patient, helpful, answered all of my questions and was willing to go above and beyond during the deal. Michel, the owner met with me personally to finalize things and pick out my winter rims, he included an even better set of high-end winter rims, since the rims I had picked out were out of stock. He also changed the rotors and pads on all four corners prior to pick up, which I wasn't expected so that was an awesome bonus. The shop has a small, boutique/family feel, which is awesome also. Would I recommend Global Auto Sales to anyone. YES! 110%. If you're into imports, this shop is a no brainer. Would I buy here again? YES! 110%. Hands down, Best Dealership Experience in Ottawa.

Good buying experience at Global Auto Sales Ottawa

Absolutely will buy any car with Global Auto sales Ottawa again. It's my first time purchasing a car from them. Alex Lapointe made us feel comfortable and appreciated. He truly works with you and is transparent with negotiations. The dealership has a lot of options and you can tell everyone they are like a family with one another. One of the best car buying experiences ever!!

Excellent service and prompt response to issues

My first time buying over the internet and shipping a vehicle a very steep learning curve for myself and lots of anxiety about the process and being able to trust a seller most of the way across the country. Michal and his team were very helpful and responded quickly and courteously to my many questions and concerns as I learned the process of shipping a vehicle from Ottawa to Vancouver. In the end a great outcome. Excellent vehicle at a great price that was accurately represented both in conversation and on their website. Thanks guys

Terrible Service...a lesson in how not to treat customers

I was referred to Global by Don Fournier garage. Don referred me to Michel. I went and spoke to Michel. It seemed I was wasting his time as it was not a large dollar purchase! He showed me one vehicle. I called twice to speak to him, left voicemails. Asked him to call me. Never heard a word, not even out of courtesy. Considering I was referred by Don who does work for Global - Don’s words were: “They’ll treat you right”. Well, I don’t think this is being treated right. I will never deal with Global again!
