We picked up our car on Saturday and because it was a long weekend my wife had to drive the hour back into North Bay from Temiscaming to sign some documents and pick up the cheque for the taxes for the saaq they said they would have ready for Tuesday. She had to pay an employee to work for her in order to go to North Bay and had a meeting to get to back in Temiscaming. The person from finance called while she was on her way out to say that things were ready and confirm that she was going that day. When she arrived 30 minutes later the cheque hadn't been produced yet and she waited for 30 minutes before having to leave without the cheque in order to make it to her meeting. She made arrangements to pick it up while having our car starter put in on Thursday (she also had to pay an employee for this day). My wife paid an employee to work for her today (Friday) and we did the hour drive to Ville Marie to have our ownership transferred and the plates put on and when we got there, found out that the numbers on the cheque didn't add up and the financial papers required weren't acceptable because the numbers were wrong. So we had to leave with no ownership and no plates, and our plates expire tomorrow (Saturday). My wife now has to drive the hour back out to North Bay tomorrow to get another 10 day permit, and they don't think the cheque and documents will be ready so they said they would Purolate them some time next week when they are done, at which point my wife will have to pay an employee to work for her again, and drive the hour, each way, back to Ville Marie. It's getting pretty expensive and extremely inconvenient when I work full time shift work and my wife is running a business and we're raising 3 children. And to top it off, while driving to Ville Marie there was a light and a warning alarm that went off saying there's a tire pressure issue and to not drive at high speeds or apply the brakes too hard because it could cause an accident and to see a Mazda dealership right away. Everything is closed for the weekend in Temiscaming and the Mazda service department is closed for the weekend and she has to drive to North Bay and back tomorrow with that warning on.
