I had my car fixed after an accident and they were extremely helpful informative and friendly. They made a bad situation into a much more pleasant one.
There was too much pressure to have more work done, and not enough true care about me which made the experience unpleasant.
This is the second vehicle I've purchased from Murray Chev. The service I received on the first vehicle which I bought in 2003 was perfect. Pleasant, genuine people working there. This time however, I feel like the staff's main purpose in keeping in touch with me is in order to make another sale, or increase the level of service I pay for. The first phone call which angered me was from a woman who left a voicemail saying "I have good news". I called back only to find out that the "good news" was that there is a sale on vehicles. Having just bought a brand new vehicle, I failed to agree that this is good news for me. The last phone call I received after having the truck in for maintenance was to tell me that my truck "needs alignment". I asked the woman why I wasn't told that when I had the truck in for servicing. She proceeded to tell me that it is "recommended" for the warranty. When I asked if it was "required" for the warranty, she replied by saying "Yes sir, it is recommended." What she should have said was "No sir, it is not required, but it is recommended." This play on words infuriated me. I doubt that I will continue to bring my truck to Murray for any servicing or maintenance because of the way it seems everyone working there is trying their best to get me to spend more money. What a difference in corporate culture from 2003.
