Sales Haldimand

Rob sold me a Diamond Kote Rustproofing system for $999.99. When I asked how it worked, he told me it is a system that automatically provides ongoing rust proofing throughout the car automatically. Ok. I went on my own to purchase my car. He gave me the warranty and my purchase receipt shows $999.99 was added to the purchase price of my vehicle. 2 years later and after nothing but issue after issue, I checked with my Service Advisor to ask ‘do I not have to have this rust proofing system maintained’? We spoke about my purchase and he asked me to bring in the purchase invoice along with the guarantee warranty of said rust proofing system. When I returned with his requested documents, he informed me I paid for a system that my car never ever had installed in it. I was in utter disbelief. Because of this my Service Advisor pulled a mechanic off the floor to literally show me where ‘the module’ would be in my car AND under the hood where there would be (should be) wires running from the battery into the car into this module that was never a part of my car. I may not have ever asked my advisor about this system if not for feeling so taken advantage of by not only (Rob) -Salesperson- but by the Service department Manager equally. After speaking with OMVIC due to the time lapse they advised they would not be able to help me. The person I spoke with was apologetic and offered another potential means to hold this Salesperson (Rob) accountable; to file a claim against this person in Small claims Court. I am currently completing the paperwork. I have all the evidence written and in photos that clearly show, this system was never installed but that I was charged for it anyway. I am also going to speak with my local Police Department regarding whether criminal charges can be pursued. It’s a lot to take on but it is necessary for me to do this for myself. We always feel comfortable dealing with Haldimand Motors. Excellent customer service. It is getting increasingly hard to find used car dealers you can trust. The sales staff and service staff are all local from the community. That is peace of mind to us.

The experience was very friendly and professional. That included every person we encountered while we were there. Price and trade were fair and we are enjoying our new truck. One thing I would like to mention, the (I think Armor All) spray you put on the floor mats transferred on to our feet and then onto the floors in our house making the floors very slippery. Just a thought before you spray again. Thank you.
