Lakewood Chevrolet

I went in with an appointment to take a bolt for a test drive. My name is in there system as I have purchased vehicles from Lakewood in the past. The sales guy (Carlos) was a few minutes late for the appointment and asked if I could come into his cubical. He wanted my drivers license (which I had provided to him the night before) and a credit card. I said no credit card and he said no test drive. I got up and left the dealership. I am quite sure they will let me take a car for a test drive in Sherwood Park without laying down a credit card. Good luck with your test drive policy.

I purchases a brand new 2023 Chevrolet Blazer (July 17, 2023). When I went to pick up the car there were a few minor scratches on the car, at this point the car salesman said I could take the car and bring it back in a few weeks to have the scratches repaired. I was very nervous about this because of past experience. A few hours after I left I noticed that the passenger door was also not aligned properly so I sent them a message and pictures. He said don't worry just show it when I drop it off for the paint. On Friday Aug 18, 2023 I decided to bring the SUV in to have it fixed, they told me it would be ready later that day. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, go by still no car. Finally Tuesday I phone and they tell me the car is ready. When I go in they did no work on the door and told me it is supposed to be like that. The car still had bug guts on the from where they were to have removed the scratches and there were now even more scratches on the car. I argued about the door and the scratches so they tell me to leave the car there and they will fix it. Thursday comes and they tell me they need the loaner back and to take my car. I am told that they buffed the scratches but the person doing the coating can't get to my car until Wednesday the following week. I come and pick up my SUV. On Aug 29th I sent them photos of how badly the detailers scratched up my SUV, you can see everywhere they buffed and everywhere they didn't, when the sun was on it. It was all scratched and a weird haze on it that didn't come off. The clear coat was even buffed off in spots. I was advised by the salesman Cam that they were accusing me of doing this to my own SUV. He told me he knows I didn't do it. I was nervous about this not working so Cam said if it doesn't work and the car isn't perfect after this coating that he will get me into a new blazer in grey or white at no additional cost to me other then the increased cost of the car ( trade in would be what I owe ). I drop my SUV off on Aug 30, 2023 to have this coating, I phone on September 1st to see when it will be available for pick up and I am told they didn't have time to complete and that they would work on it Saturday and I can pick it up on the Monday. Monday comes and I go to get my car and I notice that there are still bug guts on the car that have now been ceramic coated over so they wont come off. There was also water spots in the coating from when they installed it. I was advised to not worry and they would get back to me. I noticed the coating also left this weird pattern all over my car. When this got brought up with the car dealer he called me a liar saying that his guy would never ever ceramic over bugs he is the best in the business, keep in mind I was told by Cam the sales man that he was pretty sure the detailer that worked on my car was fired. Chris Fish from cleanfreaks (he does the coating) said that there was damage to more than 85% of my car on his facebook post. The sales manager hung up on me so I drove to the dealer ship where he wouldn't even come out to look at my car. After talking with the salesman he decided to come out agreed to work on the front of the car some more but that he wouldn't touch the rest of the car. He told me it comes this scratched from the factory and that all black cars are like this. I ad agreed to have them try to work on it but then advised I was going to seek legal advise first s now they are not responding me to. I am not sure where to go from here but I bought a new car not one that they have damaged so much.

Dealership employee Adam Montasser made a deal to purchase a vehicle from me. He took the vehicle and promised to bring a cheque for agreed amount before said time. He failed to inform me he wasn’t going to bring the cheque until the next day. He proceeded to joy ride the vehicle several times that night and then abandoned the vehicle in an industrial park with the keys left on the windshield cowl. He destroyed personal property and his sales manager Will Hind explained that this is their normal operation with Lakewood. Buyers and sellers beware as Lakewood has shown they support criminal activities.

A friend of mine was locked into a contract by a street car dealership which was a very bad deal. I had to get him out of this very bad contract. I took him to my dealership, Lakewood Chevrolet to see what they could do to help get him into a better deal. I was introduced to Vince. Wow, what a great experience I had with him. He discussed the situation, reviewed financials and worked hard to make a deal work for my friend. He was courteous and respectful of my friends situation and worked out a deal with him much better than we could have ever hoped for. Vince created apples from a lemon deal. Thank you Vince for your looking at all options to make this deal work. My friend is now in a very good position financially and has a new Chevy Traks, which he is very proud of. I was simply blown away by such a great response to this situation. Thank You also to Manita for her guidance through this purchase. Thank you to Ness for teaching us how to use all the features on the car. I would definitely refer any of the staff at Lakewood to my friends.
